Using a laser cutter fourth grade through ninth grade students will create a project, or projects, to take home. Students will each make one project per class.

Students in the morning class will each create a photo frame; during the afternoon students will build individual treasure boxes.

  • Each class is limited to fifteen students.
  • Students may sign up for one or both classes.

Sign up is required to attend. Due to equipment use and photos by Fab Lab staff, youth participation wavier forms must be signed for each student participating, for both Fab Lab Tulsa and Pawhuska Public Library, by a parent or responsible caregiver before class begins.

Students experience hands-on learning while developing digital design and fabrication skills. Projects focus on building skills in subjects such as math, science and art, as well as applied problem solving, critical thinking and creativity.

Classes will take place in Pawhuska Library’s community room.

  • Morning class is from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.
  • Afternoon class is from 1:00 to 3:30 pm.

During the 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm lunch break, pizza, cookies, and water will be provided to participating students.
